LGBTAIQ+ Adults — My Style

Affirming, practical therapy that holds both identity and daily life.

Looking for something different? If your main question is “what will we actually work toward?”, see LGBTQIA+ Adults — What I Offer.

LGBTQIA+ adults often carry a double load: ordinary human pain plus the chronic wear-and-tear of minority stress, family complexity, and social pressure. My style here is straightforward and warm. We can talk about identity, relationships, sex and intimacy, shame, grief, trauma patterns, and the practical question of “how do I live my life like I’m allowed to exist?”

Five key traits of my style

  • Warm, direct, identity-affirming care with clear boundaries and consent.
  • Comfort with minority stress and its real psychological costs.
  • Trauma-informed pacing: staying in a workable range while facing hard material.
  • Support for relationships, chosen family, and complicated family systems.
  • A clinician who understands community context — you don’t have to educate me.

(The above description of my work is based on observation, not aspirational marketing. It is a plain language summary of the patterns in actual sessions. To learn more click here.)
